MCD 10TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT A ROUSING SUCCESS
McKinney, TX – MCD Innovations, North America’s largest producer of cordless roller shades, celebrated its benchmark 10th anniversary on May 18 with a day of fun, food, and entertainment for all MCD employees and their families. From bounce houses and obstacle courses to water balloon tosses and line dancing to piñatas and an old fashioned picnic, well over 200 attendees celebrated the success of the Company. In addition, families were treated to a factory tour showcasing the state-of-the-art equipment and processes in action, as well as a look at exciting engineering projects and cycle testing of new products.
MCD began operations in May 2003 in a 7,500 SF building, then relocated to a 26,000 SF space less than two years later, and in 2010 moved to its unique 9.6 acre campus which includes 56,000 SF of climate-controlled manufacturing and office space.
Employees presented a plaque to founders Dave and Carla Townsley that read, “Congratulations! This is a significant year for you as you celebrate an important Service Anniversary with MCD Innovations. As you reach this milestone, your Team of Employees is pleased to present you with this small token of recognition, acknowledging your 10 years of service. We would also like to express our gratitude for the opportunity you have given us to be part of your Team.”

MCD Shades to be featured on Rock My RV, a Travel Channel Original
McKinney, TX – MCD Innovations, the world’s largest manufacturer of Day/Night Roller Shade Systems for the RV market, has been featured once again in the media. This time on “Rock My RV,” a Travel Channel original series featuring rocker Bret Michaels. The premiere double-episode will air on Sunday, May 26, 9:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. central time).
 Industry-leading MCD roller shade products were one of the items Michaels and his team of custom RV designers and fabricators selected to transform ordinary RVs into the “most outrageous, badass, hooked-up mobile mansions on the road.” Michaels has spent at least 9 months out of the year on the road for the past 25 years in his custom RV, which made him a natural choice to host the series.

MCD Dealer Training Class Scheduled

MCKINNEY, TX - Technicians from a number of different RV dealers and renovation companies, from across the country, will gather in McKinney, Texas May 7-9 for the latest in an ongoing series of educational MCD Dealer Training Sessions. The intensive three-day course will allow technicians in the RV renovation and retrofit market to learn in detail how to measure and install MCD Day/Night Shade Systems in RV windshield, cockpit, and living areas. Extensive classroom training, as well as hands-on actual retrofit sessions working side-by-side with MCD Factory Installation Technicians will be conducted. The intensive training program is designed to help technicians better understand how the various shade component parts are engineered to function harmoniously together. With over 30 factory trained dealers from coast to coast, MCD has the largest dealer network in the industry for installation of this revolutionary shade system.
