Fleetwood RV, Inc., headquartered in Decatur, Ind., is a leading manufacturer of Class A and Class C recreational vehicles, and was recognized as the number one manufacturer of Class A motor homes in calendar year 2009 by Statistical Surveys, Inc., a reporting service based in Grand Rapids, Mich.
History
MCD began their relationship with Fleetwood when they started supplying MCD American Solo™ windshield shades to Fleetwood back in June of 2008 for their popular Class A, Southwind model motorhomes. The 2009 model year Southwinds featured the windshield night shade, which doubled as a visor when driving.
In October of 2009, Fleetwood expanded their utilization of American Solo™ windshield shades into the new 2010 gas powered Class A, Encounter, calling this unit their “crossover” RV.
Also in October of 2009, the diesel powered Discovery and Providence motorhomes joined the line-up, featuring MCD American Duo™ day/night house shades as an option in the 2010 models. Both coaches are very popular sellers for Fleetwood.
Fleetwood Expands the use of MCD Products for 2010-11 Models
Currently, MCD American Duo™ Day/Night house shades are scheduled for inclusion in most of the Fleetwood brand diesel line of coach models.
