MCD Dealer Training Class Scheduled
|
MCKINNEY, TX - Technicians from a number of different RV dealers and renovation companies, from across the country, will gather in McKinney, Texas May 7-9 for the latest in an ongoing series of educational MCD Dealer Training Sessions. The intensive three-day course will allow technicians in the RV renovation and retrofit market to learn in detail how to measure and install MCD Day/Night Shade Systems in RV windshield, cockpit, and living areas. Extensive classroom training, as well as hands-on actual retrofit sessions working side-by-side with MCD Factory Installation Technicians will be conducted. The intensive training program is designed to help technicians better understand how the various shade component parts are engineered to function harmoniously together. With over 30 factory trained dealers from coast to coast, MCD has the largest dealer network in the industry for installation of this revolutionary shade system.
MCD was the first in the industry to provide a motorized windshield day/night roller shade system incorporating a dual-range motor that provides secondary stop points to allow the shades to be used as a full-width side-to-side visor while driving. In addition to the unique motorized windshield shades, any window in a Class A, Class B, Class C, Fifth Wheel, or Travel Trailer may be retrofitted with MCD manual shades or remote-controlled power shades. The MCD ClearView Solar Screen is the best in the marketplace for blocking UV rays while offering excellent outward visibility and daytime privacy. Multiple 100% light-blocking Night Shade fabrics are available to complement the interior décor of any RV.

MCD Shades in the Luxurious 2012 Fleetwood Bounder 35K
Article taken from Motorhome Magazine Reviews
|
Quick! Someone tell Fleetwood’s President John Draheim that they’re sending Bounders down the luxury coach assembly line! So went the comments as we surveyed the 2012 Bounder. Clad in a handsome, new full-body paint scheme (with a choice of three more), and looking more like a Fleetwood Discovery clone, the Bounder promises a new direction for the iconic front-gas ’Roo coach.
As gasoline-engine motorhome sales continue to “fuel”buyer interest in a convalescing economy, manufacturers are capitalizing on that interest by migrating features and amenities from larger, more expensive diesel coaches into their best-selling gas lines. The results are stellar and after more than 41,000 Bounders built since its debut in 1985, the new Bounder represents the culmination of owner feedback and manufacturer redesign of a true iconic coach...
Family Room Plan
This floorplan immediately caught our eye, leading off with a forward galley and dinette behind the cockpit and the main seating area aft of the dinette. While most floorplans combine both seating and dining areas around the perimeter of an open cabin, Fleetwood has created two distinct areas with the use of its new expanding Transformer Sofa serving as a room divider. Families and couples will find this arrangement appealing as activities can continue at the standard drop-table-style facing dinette or the optional ($1,358) jackknife cushion dinette, while conversations, a movie or a good book can be enjoyed from this very comfortable sofa.
Releasing the hidden sofa latch extends the end of the sofa into the room creating a full L-shaped sofa with additional seating. It also creates a unique and intimate family room feel, which is centered around the wall-mounted 40-inch Sony LCD TV and optional ($315) 5,200-Btu heating fireplace. The impression of a cozy study is further enhanced by the optional MCD Innovations day and night shades and the decorative wood-trimmed glass panel above the TV that is back-lit and dimmable for added ambiance. But true to Bounder’s functional heritage, whenever maximum floor space is needed again, simply retract the sofa...
MCD Day/Night Shades can be retrofitted to any coach or fifth wheel. For more information, click here.

Winnebago View Features MCD Day/Night Shades

Winnebago Industries has the diesel-powered, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis pretty well figured out when it comes to developing successful motorhome floorplans for its compact frame. And just when you thought there was little else it could do in the way of new layouts for this lightweight, fuel-efficient platform, the company has come up with yet another take on the whole thing with its new 2012 View 24M, which offers a full-wall, streetside slideout.
The full-wall slide adds a bit more than 17 square feet of useable floor space to the 24M’s primary living zone, which includes a forward lounge and midcoach galley and dinette area. And lacking a dedicated bedroom, the floorplan uses a 60-by-78-inch streetside convertible sofa with inflatable airbed in the lounge as its primary sleeping fixture, while a cabover bunk is included for an extra guest or two. Rounding things out rearward, the motorhome sports a private bathroom complete with porcelain toilet, washstand and shower stall.
Construction of the View reflects Winnebago’s high-quality coachbuilding standards, with good fit and finish overall. Sidewall and crowned roof panels are thermo-bonded composites of fiberglass exterior sheeting and high-density polystyrene block-foam insulation, supported by sturdy aluminum substructures. Steel and aluminum cross members are also used to anchor cabinets and appliances for extra strength and durability, while specially engineered interlocking joints connect floor, side wall and roof segments into one cohesive unit…
…All counter and table surfaces are laminate, while buttery Ultraleather is used to upholster dinette, couch and captain’s seats. Most windows have padded valances and are appointed with handy MCD American Duo Solar blackout shades that offer one roll-up panel for conveniently filtering light, and the other that shutters out sunlight completely. Finishing things off overhead is a soft vinyl headliner that is appealing to the eye and helps reduce interior noises.
